The Novice Camper at work

This morning I was brave and spoke to the people camping next to us. They were trying out their van for the first time. Gary and Caleb had started the packing up process so after saying farewells to our new neighbours I thought I would show them I was part of the pulling down process too. So with my new found camping skills and still in my chewed gloves I removed a pole and heard this louder than normal Velcro sound. I thought the neighbours would be impressed that I really knew what I was doing until I realised it wasn’t the sound of Velcro coming apart but our annex roof with it’s newly torn 14 inch scar. “Er Gary darling ….. I think I’ve put a little tear in the roof part”. Gary not a happy camper and now searching for a new wife to complete journey with. Those of you who know about my sewing skills will understand why Gary is looking for something called gaffer tape! Caleb, happy it was not he who had made the mistake was seen laughing uncontrollably behind a nearby tree!

What sort of 'camping wife' is Gary looking at?
- rated for arctic conditions?
- waterproof?
- looks like Russell Coight?
- Deluxe Swiss army knife on belt?
- Stubbies and hairy knees?
- Makes Pablo brand instant coffee in tin can with luke-warm swamp water?

I'm picturing a cross between Gimli and Xena

... and I think we can help you out!
